Here’s What We Do

Rural Awareness is a non-profit corporation formed by people interested in the past, present and future of Franklin Township, Hunterdon County, New Jersey as a rural and agricultural community. Our objective is to preserve our rich heritage through a spirit of community pride, awareness, and civic involvement. We work to preserve unique and/or historic rural characteristics and traits of the community as found in buildings, artifacts, bridges, roads, plantings, trees and natural formations. We research information related to the township and share materials found to be of interest. We implement and promote civic activities and projects within the community, county and state that highlight and preserve the quality of life in Franklin Township.
