Franklin is bordered on one side by the South Branch of the Raritan River and has many creeks and brooks with clear water rushing along stony beds. Land along the river is largely preserved, and the Wickechoeke and Lockatong Creeks have preserved areas with trails for public enjoyment. Water in Franklin’s northern Uplands ultimately feeds Raritan Bay; water in the southern Plateau flows to the Delaware River. Photo Credit: Walter Chandoha
