This blue jingle stone hitching post stood in front of the c. early 1800s Dogtown Tavern, a hotel and stagecoach stop in Cherryville. The building burned in 1952 and the post was relocated to a preserved farm on Quakertown Road in 2005. Photo Credit: George Trogler
